The Africa Feed Price platform was born from the U.S. Grains and Bioproducts Council’s years of engagement across Africa.
While working closely with producers, traders, feed companies, and policymakers, the Council identified a critical gap: there was no single source providing reliable, up-to- date prices for key feed commodities and feeds.

Launched in 2023, the platform collects data from multiple countries across North, Sub-Saharan, and Southern Africa, offering a comprehensive view of feed markets, including raw material and poultry feed prices, as well as regional news and insights. By connecting field-level knowledge with digital access, Africa Feed Price empowers U.S. and global traders, as well as local producers and policymakers, to understand markets, identify opportunities, tracking market trends and make informed decisions.

Still evolving, the initiative embodies the Council’s vision of turning on-the-ground intelligence into actionable insights, enhancing transparency, efficiency, and profitability across Africa’s feed sector.
